Health and Sport Center

The VU Health and Sport Center operates in three locations across Vilnius: Saulėtekio al. 2, Saulėtekio al. 26, and M. K. Čiurlionio g. 21. Here, the University community members can work out individually, join a variety of group activities, book wellness consultations.

At Šiauliai Academy, students have the opportunity to pursue higher athletic achievement and enjoy their active leisure time on sports courts, in aerobics halls, and using gym facilities. Find out more about sports teams and other activities here.

Culture Centre

The VU Culture Centre brings together 15 artistic groups, which attract many new members from the University community every autumn. All students are welcome to join these creative groups, volunteer, or simply enjoy performances prepared by the Culture Centre’s members.

VU Museum

The VU Museum has several units that are open to all members of the University community. We invite you to visit the University’s architectural ensemble, the Bell Tower of St Johns’ Church, the Adam Mickiewicz Museum, and the Observatory of Ideas. Students are eligible for discounted admission.

VU Botanical Garden

As a Vilnius University student, you can visit the Kairėnai Botanical Garden, the Vingis Branch located in the biggest park in Vilnius, and the Šiauliai Academy Botanical Garden free of charge!

Children’s Playroom

Located in Room JR211 in the VU connecting premises of Buildings II and III (Saulėtekio al. 9), the newly refurbished Children’s Playroom is a space designed for kids aged 1 to 12. It is open to VU staff members with children and students who need to visit the University but have no alternative childcare arrangements. The playroom offers a welcoming, child-friendly environment filled with toys, activities, and comfortable resting areas, while parents accompanying their little ones can get on with some work or complete important tasks. The space is accessible for children of all ages and easy to reach with pushchairs or strollers, as it has ramps and other amenities.

Room JR212 in the premises connecting Buildings II and III (Saulėtekio al. 9) is a dedicated space for those seeking peace, focus, rest, or a moment for prayer. This room was designed to offer everyone a quiet retreat. No devices, no noise – just silence and soundproof peace.
