A trip from Kaunas to attend the VU integration festival “Ad Astra” in Vilnius. Participants can look forward to guided tours of the university’s historic spaces, a fair featuring student organisations and activities, creative workshops, the Rector’s Lectio Prima lecture and an evening concert. Transport to Vilnius and back will be provided by a chartered bus. Advance registration is required.

Vilnius University Students’ Representation (VU SR) invites you to take part in the integration festival “Ad Astra”, which will be held in the courtyards of Vilnius University’s Central Campus.

At the VU Contact Fair, you will have an opportunity to meet student organisations, leisure and sports clubs operating at VU, as well as take part in various workshops. The VU SR integration festival “Ad Astra” will take place in the Grand Courtyard, the M. K. Sarbievijus Courtyard, the Mikalojus Daukša Courtyard, the Observatory Courtyard and the Adam Mickiewicz Courtyard at Universiteto St. 3, Vilnius. The event will conclude with a live concert.

Participants will also have an opportunity to join a short guided tour of the historic Vilnius University campus and attend the Lectio prima by the Rector of Vilnius University, Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas, on the history of Vilnius University.

Students and staff of the VU Kaunas Faculty will be able to travel to the “Ad Astra” festival by a specially arranged bus.

The bus will depart for Vilnius at 11:00 a.m. from Karaliaus Mindaugo Avenue, opposite Vytautas the Great Church.

Those wishing to travel from Kaunas are kindly asked to register, as the number of seats on the bus is limited.

Programme:

1:00 PM First-year students of the VU Kaunas Faculty are invited to take part in guided tours of the most fascinating spaces and unique sites of Vilnius University’s Central Campus.

3:00–10:00 PM Free time to participate in the “Ad Astra” student activities festival, the VU Contact Fair and an impressive evening concert held in the VU courtyards. Information about the performers will be announced soon.

10:00 PM Departure Back to Kaunas from the Parking Lot at Cathedral Square. Return to Kaunas is planned for around 11:30 PM. An earlier return is possible upon agreement with the participants.
