First-year students of the VU Kaunas Faculty are invited to their first university lecture, Lectio Prima – “Proud to Study at VU, or From Here We Rise to the Stars”.

The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Dr Virginija Jurėnienė, who will introduce participants to the history of Vilnius University, its most important stages, academic traditions and the values of the university community. Students will learn what makes Vilnius University unique, what it means to be a VU student, and how the university’s motto, “From Here We Rise to the Stars”, is reflected in the experiences of studying, research and academic life.

This is an excellent opportunity not only to learn more about the university where a new stage of life begins, but also to experience the spirit of the academic community. Take your place in the student’s chair and attend your very first university lecture!

The lecture will take place in the Prof. Vladas Gronskas Auditorium, Building II of the VU Kaunas Faculty, Muitinės St. 8, Kaunas.
