All first-year students of the VU Faculty of Medicine are invited to join an introductory gathering.

Faculty of Medicine

All first-year students are warmly invited to begin the academic year together. This is an opportunity to meet your classmates and start your studies as part of the Faculty community.

Programme

10:00 AM–1:00 PM – Welcome Gathering for First-Year Students in the courtyard of the VU Faculty of Medicine. The Student Representation of the Faculty of Medicine invites all first-year students to come together, meet one another and get to know their new classmates.

1:00 PM–1:30 PM – Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year. Welcome addresses by the Dean and the President of the Student Representation of the Faculty of Medicine, followed by the First-Year Student Oath.

After the ceremony, we will join the traditional procession of the Vilnius University community to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania (Gedimino pr. 53). All Faculty of Medicine students are encouraged to wear the Faculty’s symbol – a white coat – during the procession.
